Arbitrum Blockchain Game
According to the announcement on August 6, the new game will use Arbitrum blockchain technology for its initial activation and core, leveraging the platform’s scalability and user integration technology. The gaming adventure will also include Sequence’s blockchain tools.
The game will feature popular characters from major franchise titles such as Assassin’s Creed, Rayman, and Beyond Good and Evil.
“With Arbitrum’s robust infrastructure and Sequence’s full web3 suite as a foundation, Captain Laserhawk: the GAME is poised to be a groundbreaking player-driven project,” said Nicholas Board of Ubisoft Labs.
Launching on Arbitrum allows users to shape the game’s story, gameplay, and side experiences.
Strengthening the gaming ecosystem at Arbitrum
Nina Rong, Head of Ecosystem Development at Arbitrum, added that this collaboration will spark further growth for the growing blockchain gaming ecosystem.
“It’s exciting to see leading game studios, like Ubisoft, look to Arbitrum to support their ambitious community-driven project – a significant step towards increasing adoption and accessibility in the industry. Arbitrum’s gaming ecosystem continues to thrive, and the increased focus from legacy studios will only accelerate that growth,” noted Runge.
In June 2024, the Arbitrum Foundation unveiled a $215 million incentive program to stimulate game development on Arbitrum. The initiative aims to distribute 225 million ARB to the best game developers working on the network.
According to Dapp Radar, Best Arbitration Games Includes Rumble Racing Star, GOAT Gaming, GombleGames, Treasure, and Crypto Unicorns.
