BDSwiss Onboards New Africa Business Development Head

BDSwiss, a recognized brand in forex brokerages and contracts for difference (CFDs), has appointed Christos Philacto as Regional Head of Business Development for its Africa operations. According to his Linkedin profile, Fylaktou is based in the broker’s office in Cyprus.

“I am excited to share with you that I am starting a new position as Regional Head of Business Development – Africa at BDSwiss!” Fylaktou wrote in a Linkedin affiliate post.

Fylaktou has been working in financial services since 2014. He entered the industry as an account manager at IronFX, another forex/CFD broker. Join the role at BDSwiss by HFM (formerly HotForex), the consolidated trading name of the HF Markets Group. Join the Cypriot offices of HF Markets.

“With extensive sales and business development experience, I have built a strong track record of implementing effective strategies to drive revenue growth and strong interpersonal skills to cultivate close relationships with business partners,” as described by Fylatou on Linkedin.

The appointment demonstrates BDSwiss’ commitment to growing its company in African markets. Many other retail brokers, large and small, enter the African markets by obtaining licenses from jurisdictions such as Kenya and South Africa.

HF Markets employees leaving BDSwiss

BDSwiss has brought on Fylaktou weeks after the appointment of Hassan Ibrahim as its new head of business development in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), who will play a key role in the company’s expansion in the region. Nicholas Morfitis, another regional head of business development at retail brokerage HF Markets, joined BDSwiss in March as global business development operations. BDSwiss has brought on board these former HF Markets employees after Andreas Andreou, Head of Business Development for United Arab Emirates (UAE) subsidiary HF Markets, joined BD Swiss as the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in Cyprus earlier this year.

Furthermore, BDSwiss has strengthened its team by appointing Mazen Salhab, who previously worked at Swissquote and MultiBank Group, as Head of Broker’s new market strategist for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
