Ben-Gvir agrees to pause judicial overhaul

It was reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed with National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir that the cabinet would approve the formation of the National Guard to reinforce the police.


National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir announced, “I have agreed to lift the veto on delaying the legislation (judicial reform) in return for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s commitment to bring the legislation to the Knesset for approval in the next session, in the absence of an agreement during the recess.”

In addition, Netanyahu reportedly agreed with Ben Gvir that the next cabinet meeting will discuss the formation of the National Guard to reinforce the police.
