Bitcoin Argentina, an NGO focused on Bitcoin promotion, is offering a virtual course called “Introduction to the Lightning Network”.
According to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine, the course aims to educate participants about the operation and development capabilities of a Layer 2 solution running on top of the Bitcoin network.
Jimena Vallone, CEO of Bitcoin Argentina, stated, “With the NGO Bitcoin Argentina, we want to bring knowledge about this technology and create practical and theoretical spaces that allow professionals, specialists, users and interested parties to explore its uses and possibilities.”
The course, which begins on May 23, will be taught by leading professionals in the field, including Nicholas Borbón, Francisco Calderon, Federico Andragnes and members of Satoshi Libraryand Laura Medina and Gustavo Torres. The curriculum will cover the introductory aspects of Bitcoin, the mining process, the structure and operation of the Lightning Network, the technological implications of the growth of the network, digital wallets, transactions and fraud prevention.
Bitcoin Argentina previously organized a Lightning Hackday in Buenos Aires, which received a positive response from the participants. Vallone expressed the foundation’s motivation behind the course, saying, “We want to provide the necessary tools so that more and more people can learn about the potential of decentralized technologies and the financial innovation that started with Bitcoin in 2009.”
Interested individuals can Register for the course directly or across NGO website, with a limited number of places available. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the programme.
