Bitcoin Magazine Introduces New Short Form Opinion Format: Takes

Each author has his or her own voice.

At Bitcoin Magazine, we have long been advocates for elevating the voices of the Bitcoin community. As the premier publisher of Bitcoin opinion content, we continually amplify different viewpoints from across the industry, whether those of key CEOs or humble bottlers.

However, Bitcoin Magazine’s branding has often relied on a more unified (or classic) editorial voice in its publications. We’re now taking steps to change that, by introducing a new article type called Articles.

Articles are short articles about an idea, trend, blog post, person, company, product or proposal in the Bitcoin space, for which the authors provide their “feedback” (in effect).

Compared to feature stories, articles are written and opinionated more quickly. This means that Takes will provide a window into the thoughts and ideas of our authors, allowing readers to get a clear glimpse into how they view Bitcoin and the world around it.

Articles are published by Bitcoin Magazine’s editorial team, but may also be written by anyone else who works at Bitcoin Magazine or its parent company BTC Inc. Sometimes external contributors may also contribute articles.

Of course, Bitcoin Magazine will continue to publish long-form articles and contributed opinion pieces alongside articles. Takes will continue to adhere to our policies in place for Layer 2 networks, as well as Bitcoin tokens, and will be clearly labeled for the reader to understand.

We hope our Takes model adds to the discourse, and stimulates the conversation as Bitcoin continues to advance and become widely used as the ultimate form of money.
