Bitcoin Pokes Above $67K as Altcoins See Considerable Gains (Weekend Watch

The cryptocurrency market saw a massive recovery yesterday after starting the day very slowly and even falling significantly. However, buyers stepped in and pushed Bitcoin to over $67,000, while many altcoins are posting impressive returns.

Bitcoin price exceeds $67,000

Bitcoin is up about 5% on the day, marking an impressive recovery after falling to $63,000 earlier in the morning trading session yesterday.

The cryptocurrency managed to hit a local daily high of $67,400 on Bitstamp, but has since retreated to where it currently trades at $66,600. This is still an impressive performance, and bulls may now be consolidating their ranks in preparation for a fresh rally towards the $70,000 level.

Zooming out on the hourly view, the price appears to have returned to an uptrend, and it will be interesting to see if that takes Bitcoin to $70,000, which appears to be the next important level.

Altcoins in a Sea of ​​Green

It’s not just Bitcoin that’s making amazing gains, it’s the entire market. As the heat map below shows, all of the large-cap altcoins have seen their value rise significantly.

Some of the more notable performers include DOGE, which managed to gain around 7.3%, SOL – up almost 6%, AVAX – up 5.4%, NEAR – up over 6%, and so on.

SEI and ORDI are the best performing coins today, up 18.5% and 16.4% respectively. POPCAT and BONK are the best performing coins, up 16% and 13.2%.

It is interesting to note that all of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by total market cap are in green, indicating the strength of the market in the past 24 hours.
