Bitcoin Takes Over Las Vegas Sphere: 1st Crypto Displayed

Bitcoin (BTC), the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, took over the Las Vegas arena over the weekend. The leading cryptocurrency was showcased on the world’s largest LED screen as part of Crypto.com’s anniversary celebrations. Despite the excitement, discussion has been rife about Dogwifhat’s campaign to bring memecoin to the Las Vegas arena.

Bitcoin Takes Over Las Vegas Strip

On Sunday night, the Las Vegas skyline was captured by the world’s largest cryptocurrency for a minute and a half after it was displayed at the Sphere. The spherical venue houses the world’s largest indoor and outdoor LED displays, valued at $2.3 billion.

Sphere showed a video showing a massive Bitcoin logo dominating the Las Vegas Strip before it transformed into spinning gold coins bearing the BTC logo. As a result, the leading cryptocurrency became the first ever cryptocurrency to be featured on Sphere’s screens.

The announcement was made by cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, which was celebrating its eighth anniversary. The exchange shared part of the video on various social media platforms, stating that it wanted to acknowledge the protocol that made all this possible.

As we wrap up our 8th anniversary, we recognize the protocol that started it all.

Furthermore, locals reported seeing the ad, with some users stating that Bitcoin “instantly became the hottest cryptocurrency.” Others expressed disbelief when they saw the huge logo on the screen as they passed by.

Community members also shared their appreciation for the achievement. X users praised the crypto exchange’s announcement, saying, “This is the way to start the adoption process!” and calling it “crazy marketing.” Additionally, Michael Sailor, co-founder of Micostrategy, said: interaction To the news on X, he asks his followers to “get used to seeing Bitcoin everywhere.”

What happened to the Sphere WIF Hat?

In responses to Bitcoin’s announcement, community members began discussing the Dogwifhat community’s initiative to bring the memecoin buzz to the Las Vegas Sphere. “Bitcoin was on the Sphere before dogwifhat,” one X user said. He said.

In March, a fundraising campaign was launched to display WIF on the world’s largest LED screen for a week. The “Wif on Sphere” campaign aimed to raise $650,000 to achieve this feat, which the community quickly achieved. The goal was surpassed by about $50,000 in the days that followed.

This achievement has further boosted the token’s bullish momentum, pushing the price to a new all-time high of $3.36. Additionally, it showcases the support of the WIF community, the popularity of memecoins, and the new marketing strategies being used by the cryptocurrency community.

Four months later, the community has yet to see the “Sphere WIF Hat” take over Las Vegas. Many who donated to the initiative have questioned the campaign organizers, including cryptocurrency trader Ansem. The trader has received backlash for delaying the fulfillment of campaign promises.

Many donors believe they were scammed, while others believe the crypto announcement will not happen and have asked for a refund. Despite the skepticism, the organizers have repeatedly assured us that they are working to make “wif on Sphere” happen soon.

As some say pointed outCrypto.com’s recent Bitcoin ad could have paved the way for a WIF campaign. Users have highlighted that many venues are reluctant to run crypto-related ads due to regulations, which could be a problem for a community-driven campaign. Ultimately, it remains to be seen when the Las Vegas ball will become a WIF hat.
