Black British Business Awards announce 2024 finalists

The finalists for the 2024 Black British Business Awards have been announced ahead of the ceremony in October.

The BBBAwards return for an eleventh year to celebrate the outstanding achievements of black professionals and business people in the UK.

Winners across six industry categories will be revealed at a ceremony on Friday 11 October 2024 at the InterContinental London, Park Lane.

Since its inception, the BBBA Awards have promoted representation of black talent across all sectors, recognising the great leaders and emerging stars who are making a significant contribution to the UK economy. This year’s BBBA Awards celebrate 36 finalists, representing Amazon, Apple, Burberry, L’Oréal, American Express, Ralph Lauren, EY, KPMG and exceptional organisations in industries ranging from publishing, finance and technology to beauty and food and drink.

The theme for the 2024 BBBA Awards is #NEXT. #NEXT represents a generational shift in the Black community and business, recognizing rising stars who are now poised to become the next generation of industry leaders and honoring those who have defied the odds and fought hard to pave the way.

Dr Sophie Chandawka, Chair and CEO of the Black British Business Awards, said: “Congratulations to the finalists of the 2024 Black British Business Awards. Your success stories are a powerful reminder of the progress we are making and what is possible. As we find ourselves in a new political landscape, it is vital that government and industry leaders do not ignore, undervalue or undermine the enormous talent and potential of the black community. The 2024 Black British Business Awards category is a stunning celebration of ambition, achievement, resilience and innovation across all sectors of the UK economy.”

Wells Fargo is hosting the 2024 BBBAwards Finalists Reception, having been a major supporter of the BBBAwards since 2019.

“Wells Fargo is honored to support the British Black Business Awards for the fifth year in a row, and we are delighted to host the finalists’ announcement this week at our London headquarters,” said John Langley, Chief Operating Officer, Corporate & Investment Banking and Head of International Services, Wells Fargo. “These important awards celebrate exceptional Black professionals and entrepreneurs and highlight the extraordinary perseverance, drive, commitment and talent of these individuals. I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all the finalists, and wish them all the best at the awards later this year. We will be there to support you!”
