The Board of Directors of the Israel Air Industries Company (IAI) has chosen Gabi SerousSi as a president, although he did not pass through the initial operation the committee to review the Supreme Appointments of the Authority in government companies, headed by retired judge Scholatit Dotan.
Earlier today, the former minister and ambassador to the United Nations announced at a meeting of the state -owned IAI board of directors that he was freezing his candidacy for the company's center for three months.
After the Supreme Appointments Committee of the Government Authority decided not to approve the nomination of Gabi Seroussi, the candidate promoted by Israel Defense Minister Katz, and SerousSi chose not to participate in the pre -selection process, Erdan suggested to the council that Sersi should be required to provide forms to the committee. The council, however, voted against the proposal. Ardan later announced that he temporarily withdraws his candidacy, because “considerations are not the interest of the company, but they are strange political considerations.”
SerousSi has a majority in favor of it on the IAI panel. The workers ’representatives, Elihau Erie, Adi Rafiev, and external managers, Hva Shishtar and Adi Bershashasky, whose conditions are Senhon before they voted in his favor.
The vote in favor of SerousSi comes despite “Globes” this morning to the fact that Seroussi competed for the position of IAI CEO in 2018, and the committee headed by then IAI president, Harrill Loker, is not qualified to nominate.
This morning, as we mentioned, the governmental companies Authority informed the IAI Board of Directors that SerousSi's nomination will not be approved by the DOTAN Committee. The authority stated that “the length of the candidate period can extend to a third state only in exceptional cases and for special reasons; on this date, the position of the ministers on this commodity related to their wishes has not been received.”
IAI has worked without a permanent president since November. Before his replacement was replaced by Israel, former Minister of Defense, YOAV Gallant, he agreed with the minister responsible for the authority of government companies, David Amallim, to appoint Ardan's ice as president. The decision was made in consultation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Ardan was appointed as IAI director before changing defense ministers. However, since then, Katz has strongly refused to appoint Ardan to a position given by Hala a security, in the expected power struggle “the next day of Netanyahu” in the Likud party.
