Building set to begin on former Eilat airport land

Building this year will start on the ground that the previous Eyilat airport will start. 2469 housing units will be built in addition to 2776 hotel rooms, 88,000 square meters of office spaces and 95,000 square meters of commercial spaces.

Most of the pieces were marketed in the central area of developers, and construction will start on some pieces in 2025, with the expectation of the first job in 2028 and its full work by the end of the contract. The planning of the northern and southern sections has not been completed yet, and it is expected to be occupied in the first half of the thirties.

Unlike most of the city's neighborhoods, which are only residential, the neighborhood is expected to include a group of housing, hotels, trade and offices. Through its central location in the city, the neighborhood is targeting buyers who are looking to buy the best quality house and families of the mobile Mobile middle class that seeks an urban experience currently lacking in the Red Sea resort. In addition, the relative proximity to Ramon Airport and the entrance to the city may attract families from the center of the country in search of a holiday home, as well as investors looking for short -term rental leave.

“Eilaat Airport closed a large area of land at a central location in the city, and enabling the planning for a multi -use area whose residents will enjoy well in the hotel area, the old center, as well as to additional new neighborhoods planned in the northeast of the city,” said MADLAN CEO of Madlan Tal Kopel.

“Unlike the dormitory neighborhoods that were built and built on the edges of the city in recent decades, the airport area will be alive in urban areas with a variety of shopping, entertainment and employment options at a close distance, which is expected to attract a group of residents who are looking for a modern urban experience, and also wants to pay for that more than prior prices in the city.”

The new neighborhood will contain residential buildings from seven floors along two parallel roads to the east and west and a new road from the north and south parallel to the 90th road. The neighborhood is divided into three regions: the southern region will include residential and entertainment areas, the central area with housing and hotels, and the northern region with a mixture of uses that will include housing, trade, materials and hotels.

The housing will be divided into blocks, with a variety of buildings that will include stands, parking buildings on the roofs, and residential buildings. The residents of the neighborhood will enjoy reaching trade on the street side in the hotel buildings, as well as in the offices of the offices of the neighborhood, and throughout the southern region.

The living of the neighborhood includes public buildings, but no planned buildings are not yet known. The region was planned in gardens in residential areas, in addition to a written park along the northern and southern road of the region, and the huge terminal park in the southern part of the region, where other tourist attractions, trade, concert complex, and public parties complex are planned.

The ability in the neighborhood will be good for cars, but less for public transport. The area is long and tight, the main highway (Road 90) is bounded to the west and Derban Street to the east. Eilat bus services include a small number of lines, with low frequency, and this is also likely to be the case in the region. The southern part of the area is relatively close to the central bus station, making it easy to reach the buses that leave the city. In the distant future, a high -speed train line may be built to the city, and although the city railway station was not yet known, it is possible that it is due to the central location of the region, it will be close to the station.

A continuous and high -quality network of cycling tracks in the north of the region has been planned, but it is known that there are no paths in the center and south of the region. Also, there are no bike paths in the North Eilaat at all, and there are no striped tracks, so perhaps cycling will not be a safe option in the city.
