Jeremy Mendelsohn’s career proves that great success often starts with a simple idea. As Director of Strategic Accounts at All Roads Travel, he has helped more than 500,000 students explore the world.
But his journey only began with passion, perseverance, and a love of creating meaningful experiences.
Growing up in California, Jeremy learned the value of teamwork early on. Whether he was playing sports or participating in his local community, he always focused on collaboration. “I’ve always believed that success starts with people,” Jeremy says. “The relationships you build determine how far you can go.”
His love of travel blossomed during college. While earning his degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at San Diego State University, Jeremy studied abroad in China. This experience opened his eyes to new cultures, challenges and opportunities.
“Travelling showed me a bigger world,” Jeremy recalls. “It pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I realized how much I had to learn and explore.”
Building a business in 24
At just 24 years old, Jeremy has turned this inspiration into action. he TravelZeeky was foundeda group travel company focused on students and corporate clients. Its mission was clear: to provide impactful and accessible travel experiences while keeping things simple and seamless.
What started as a small operation grew quickly. In just five years, TravelZeeky has organized over 1,000 events and generated over $40 million in revenue. By 2018, the company caught the attention of a London-based events company, which acquired TravelZeeky. That moment was a turning point in Jeremy’s career.
“Starting a business at 24 was exciting, but it wasn’t easy,” says Jeremy. “There have been failures, challenges and moments of doubt. But those are the moments that teach you the most. You just have to keep showing up and doing the work.
The leader in all travel methods
After selling TravelZeeky, Jeremy brought his experience to All Roads Travel. Today, as a Strategic Account Manager, he leads one of the largest student travel companies in the United States. His role combines big picture strategy with day-to-day execution.
“Travel is more than just visiting places,” Jeremy explains. “It builds confidence, independence and perspective. Students return with new skills and memories that stay with them for life.
Jeremy oversees wide-ranging programs, building partnerships and creating trips that balance learning and adventure. His hands-on leadership style emphasizes listening and teamwork.
“Good ideas come from everywhere,” he says. “The best results happen when you empower your team, collaborate, and make room for creativity.”
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Jeremy’s ability to adapt was tested. With travel plans on hold, his team has focused on virtual events and at-home experiences.
“We had to completely rethink how we work,” says Jeremy. “Instead of panicking, we focused on what we could control. Creativity and flexibility helped us overcome this problem.
Lessons in entrepreneurship
For Jeremy, entrepreneurship is about perseverance, vision and adaptability. “You can’t plan for everything,” he says. “The key is to stay resilient and keep moving forward. Challenges are where you grow the most.”
He sees failure as a starting point for improvement. “If something doesn’t work, find out why and adjust it. Success doesn’t mean avoiding failure, it means learning from it.
Jeremy also believes in the power of starting small. “Focus on what you can control, set clear goals, and then go from there. Every little win adds value.”
Work-life balance
While Jeremy works hard, he knows that success depends on balance. “A fulfilling life is not just about business accomplishments,” he says. “It’s time with family, exploring new places, and giving back.”
Jeremy stays active in his community through local charities and events. He has visited 41 countries so far and aims to explore every continent. Traveling isn’t just about his career, it’s his way of staying inspired.
“Travel connects you to the world,” says Jeremy. “It’s about the people you meet, the cultures you experience, and the stories you take back. This connection keeps me grounded and motivated.
What’s next?
Looking to the future, Jeremy is focused on expanding student travel opportunities. He wants to make travel more accessible, impactful and meaningful for young people everywhere.
“Travel changes lives,” Jeremy says with a smile. “If I can help one student see the world differently or grow their self-confidence, that’s a win. I want to continue creating opportunities for students to explore, learn and dream bigger.”
