Cheniere Energy (NYSE: LNG) (New York Stock Exchange: CQPOn Monday, it said it had entered into a long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement with China’s ENN.
ENN has agreed to purchase approximately 1.8 million metric tons/year of LNG on a free basis to the purchase price associated with Henry Hub is priced, has a 20-year term, and deliveries are expected to begin mid-2026.
In October 2021, the Chinese company signed a 13-year deal to buy Cheniere Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) (CQP) starting in July 2022.
The transaction is subject to a positive final investment decision on the first train of the Sabine Pass Extension Project.
The Sabine Pass project is being developed to include up to three LNG pipelines with an expected total production capacity of 20 million tons/year of LNG.
