Comic legend cracks down on cryptocurrency, calls Altcoins a ‘scam’
New Twitter string By user Sir Doge of the Coin, asking the public to start arguing in the comments. Never one to shy away from such opportunities for outrage, comedian Louis CK jumped to the topic, calling all other cryptocurrencies “besides Bitcoin” a “scam.”
The immediately hostile comment led other users to take the bait, responding to the reasons why Ethereum and other altcoins are legitimate and worthwhile investments.
Given the negative sentiments inside and outside cryptocurrencies, especially around digital currencies at the moment, it has also been met with a lot of agreement and support. Bitcoin extremists offered virtual sums in solidarity. But in the end, it’s probably just trolling – something it’s well known for.

Louis CK was, coincidentally, among the first comedians to accept Bitcoin for payment through BitPay for recordings of his show through his official website in 2015. This payment option is no longer active, but the comedian has been around Bitcoin longer than many of you . Currently reading this.
The standing star also has a lot in common with the cryptocurrency market. Throughout the year, Louis CK was the biggest name in comedy, landing his own recurring TV show using his name. But the scandal caused a huge setback.
Much like the cryptocurrency market falling in favor, losing it, and then back again, Louis CK has made a glorious comeback, remains a fan, and is clearly more than capable of trolling on Twitter with his comedic commentary.
