Disney Resort Reveals Reopening of Popular Classic Attraction

Disney World parks and the Disneyland Resort operate most efficiently when all rides and attractions are open. However, it appears that in recent years some of the major rides and lands within the parks have been closed for extended periods of time for major construction work.

In the case of the Disney World water parks, Typhoon Lagoon water park closed on November 13, 2022 for renovations and reopened on March 19, but other water parks Blizzard Beach It closed on the same day in March for renovation, and no date has been set for reopening.

Splash Mountain at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Florida closed Jan. 23 to be renamed from “Song of the South” to “Princess and the Frog” Tiana’s Bayou Adventure which will open in 2024. Same plans at Disneyland’s Splash Mountain store in Anaheim, California, which is still operating and is scheduled to close May 31 to be converted into Bayou Adventure by Tiana with a reopening in late 2024.

Currently at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is closed for renovation and is expected to reopen in the summer or later this year.

Tarzan’s tree house reopens sometime this year

Tarzan’s treehouse at Disneyland’s Adventureland closed in September 2021 for renovations, but it remains covered from public view, and the Disneyland website says it will reopen sometime in 2023. The park’s Matterhorn Bobsleds are also listed as temporarily unavailable.

Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, reopened on March 19 after being closed for renovations for more than a year since March 9, 2022. The wait was worth it for Disneyland guests as Toontown added a new ride already operating at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios and Railways Iron Mickey and Minnie runaway.

Space Mountain at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland closed in April to be transformed into Hyperspace Mountain, a limited-time experience that runs from May 1 to June 4 to coincide with the theme park’s Star Wars month of May. Guests at Disneyland will land in a galaxy far, far away, as the park says, with exciting flavors.

Disneyland’s popular Indiana Jones Adventure ride which first opened on March 3, 1995, closed on January 9, 2023 for renovations and reopened on March 17.

Popular re-opening game set

Disneyland said on its website that it will close three rides in Fantasyland on June 5 for renovations, including Mr. Todd’s Wild Ride, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan’s ride. Disney California Adventure will also be shutting down the Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure for a bit of action as well on June 5.

The Little Mermaid is set to reopen in just three days on June 8th. Alice in Wonderland and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride is a little longer, and they will reopen on June 15th.

Disneyland guests may be very disappointed that they can’t ride one of the theme park’s most popular rides, which always have long lines with long waiting times, for almost all of June. Peter Pan Ride, which has a historic average wait time of 34 minutes with a maximum check-in of 90 minutes, will be closed for renovations on June 5 and is scheduled to reopen on June 30.
