Dominion Energy (NYSE:D) said Monday the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has completed its environmental analysis of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind commercial project planned off the Virginia coast.
The release of the final environmental impact statement, which analyzes the project’s potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures, sets the stage for a final Interior Department decision on the 2.6 GW project later this fall.
Dominion (D) proposes construction of 176 14.7 MW wind turbines and three offshore substations in a 112.8K-acre commercial lease area located 27 miles off the Virginia Beach coast.
