I’ve posted the very early interest rates here:

  • Opening levels Monday morning, indicative exchange rates July 22, 2024, little changed from late Friday

Now updating with Sunday’s big political news from the US, Biden has withdrawn from the presidential election:

  • It’s finally Gopher.

It’s still very early here in Asia,

  • Just before 7am in Sydney
  • Just before 6am in Tokyo
  • Just before 5am in Hong Kong and Singapore

New Zealand is heading towards 9am

Indicative prices:

  • EUR/USD 1.0887
  • USD/JPY 157.44
  • GBP/USD 1.2921
  • USD/CHF 0.9121
  • USD/CAD 1.3721
  • AUD/USD 0.6690
  • NZD/USD 0.6011

The latest news from the US is that Vice President Kamala Harris may be on the path to the Democratic nomination for US President after President Biden endorsed her after she withdrew from the race. But it is not a done deal yet.
