Is it a simple mistake?
Is it a typo? It’s hard to tell.
Elon Musk, owner of Twitter since October, announced on May 11 that he had found his replacement as CEO of Twitter. The billionaire added that the new president will start in six weeks.
“Excited to announce I’ve been appointed as the new CEO of X/Twitter. Starting in about 6 weeks!” The billionaire businessman said, adding that he will be transitioning into a behind-the-scenes role.
“My role will transition to CEO and CTO, overseeing products, software and computer hardware.”
The next day put an end to the suspense, revealing the identity of the person who accepted one of the hardest jobs in the world. This is Linda Iaccarino.
“I am excited to welcome Belinda Iaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter!” Musk announced on May 12: “LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design and new technology. I look forward to working with Linda to turn this platform into an X, App for Everything.”
The next day, Yaccarino thanked Techo King for the opportunity.

She then added: “I see I have some new followers 👀… 👋 I’m not as prolific as @elonmusk (yet!), but I’m committed to the future of this platform. Your feedback is essential to that future. I’m here for all of it. Let’s continue the conversation and build our Twitter 2.0 together!”
From these tweets, it appears Yaccarino hasn’t quite taken over her position yet, especially since her former employer, NBCUniversal, announced her departure in February. statement On May 12th.

The problem is that Her LinkedIn profileYaccarino says she took over as CEO of Twitter in March, TheStreet discovered on May 14. I would add that she has been on Twitter for the past three months. In the “Experience” section it says:

When contacted, Twitter responded with a poo emoji as it responded to media requests for several weeks.
Yaccarino was Head of Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBCUniversal prior to Twitter.
