Elon Musk, the tech company’s CEO, plans to contribute about $45 million a month to a super PAC that backs President Trump, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Musk, who leads Tesla (NASDAQ: Tesla), SpaceX (space), xAI and X, are backing the US political action committee. Other backers of the political action committee include Palantir (BelterCo-founder Joe Lonsdale, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, former U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and her husband Joe Craft, CEO of Alliance Resource PartnersI swear), news agency Added.
The newspaper added, citing a person familiar with the matter, that the political action committee was established last June and focuses on registering voters and trying to urge them to vote early and request mail-in ballots in swing states.
A number of other tech executives, including venture capitalists, have contributed to the fund, The New York Times reported. ReportedThe newspaper added that Musk did not donate to the political action committee until June 30.
