French gov’t seeks to bar Israeli cos from Paris Air Show

The French government has filed an appeal with the Administrative Court in Paris to overturn the ruling that allowed Israeli defense companies to participate in the Euronaval exhibition.

The French government may have failed in its attempts to prevent Israeli defense companies from participating in the Euronaval exhibition earlier this month, but today it filed an appeal with the Administrative Court in Paris to overturn the ruling that allowed Israeli companies to participate in the naval exhibition. The aim of the appeal is to pave the way for the French government to prevent Israeli defense companies from participating in the Paris Air Show in June 2025 by overturning the ruling of the Paris Commercial Court before Euronaval upholding the right of Israeli defense companies to exhibit in France.

On appeal, the representative of the French Government claims that the Paris Commercial Court is not authorized to decide on such matters of public policy of the French Government. The Israel Manufacturers Association, which successfully filed a petition with the Paris Commercial Court, in cooperation with the Israel-France Chamber of Commerce, said in response that it would continue its fight against the French government’s efforts to ban Israeli defense companies from participating in exhibitions in France.

The head of the Manufacturers Association in Israel, Dr. Ron Toomer: “We regret that the leaders of France have not really taken the hint, and that we will not allow anyone to remove us or disappear from the international defense sector. It is clear to us that the latest appeal is an attempt to prepare for the possibility of preventing us from participating in the famous Paris Air Show, but we will not allow that to happen.” .
