Gasoline prices in Israel to rise Wed night

On June 1, the retail price cap for a liter of government-controlled 95-octane unleaded gasoline at the self-service pump will increase by 0.04 shekels to 6.85 shekels.

At midnight between Wednesday and Thursday night (June 1), the maximum retail price for a liter of government-controlled 95-octane unleaded gasoline at a self-service pump will increase by 0.04 shekels to 6.85 shekels (including value-added tax), according to the National Ministry . Infrastructure, energy and water resources were announced. The slight rise comes after three consecutive months in May in which the price remained unchanged. There will be a fee of 0.21 NIS per liter per full service at the pumps.

The price of 95-octane gasoline was to rise sharply to NIS 7.20-7.30 per liter until Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich ordered an extension and a slight increase in the consumption tax cut from NIS 0.45 per liter to NIS 0.49.

Oil prices that jumped dramatically at the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February 2022 have fallen by 25% over the past year.
