GE HealthCare (GEHC) is partnering with DePuy Synthes
GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC) has entered into a distribution agreement with DePuy Synthes*, the orthopedic surgery company of Johnson & Johnson, to offer GE HealthCare’s OEC 3D Imaging System, along with DePuy Synthes’ broad family of products, to more surgeons and patients across the states United. Visualization and imaging are critical to help achieve accurate diagnosis as well as treatment in the face of such complexity to ensure the best patient outcome.
The OEC 3D Imaging System from GE HealthCare is designed to increase the accuracy and efficiency of surgical imaging to enhance the 3D imaging experience in surgical wards that perform every day spine procedures. The OEC 3D Surgical Imaging C-arm is a mobile CBCT imaging solution that enables intraoperative 3D volumes and high resolution 2D imaging while covering a large anatomical field of view. With precise 3D volumetric imagery and imaging capabilities familiar from OEC 2D, the OEC 3D C-arm also includes features for image analysis, noise reduction, interprocess review, and seamless workflows to help clinicians see a broader picture.
As demand for minimally invasive surgical procedures continues to grow and ambulatory surgery centers perform more than half of all outpatient procedures in the US1, providers need effective imaging capabilities.
