Developed in collaboration between the Ministry of Defence’s DRDO, the Department of Tanks and Armored Personnel Carriers, and Rafael, the Trophy system is the world’s most advanced active protection system. The Trophy provides protection for tanks and armored personnel carriers and deals with a range of anti-tank threats. The Trophy system has been in use with the Israeli Army since 2011 and has been installed on every Merkava 4 tank and Namer armored personnel carrier that comes off the production line.
Since the beginning of the war, the Trophy system has proven itself in numerous operations, intercepting numerous anti-tank missiles, thus protecting tanks, their platforms and the fighters inside them. Neutralizing countless anti-tank missiles helped advance IDF forces in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. The system developed and produced by Rafael has been sold to many countries around the world and has been installed on 17 different types of platforms.
