Geyser Launches 5th Bitcoin Grant To Empower Educational Bitcoin Communities

Geyser, a leading Bitcoin granting organization, has announced the launch of its fifth Bitcoin Grant, which aims to support Bitcoin-focused educational initiatives and community programs. The scholarship opens opportunities for campaigns that promote and strengthen bitcoin schools and communities around the world.

Geyser CEO Mick Morucci emphasized the importance of Bitcoin to an underserved population, saying, “These are the people who will benefit most from Bitcoin, which can act as a shield. Those who are also less familiar with Bitcoin.” The scholarship seeks to amplify the efforts of emerging Bitcoin communities around the world, offering knowledge, education, and tools to promote participation in the Bitcoin movement.

To fund the grant, Geyser has raised 1 BTC, thanks to its generous donors and partnership with Blink. The organization aims to distribute proceeds to several projects that demonstrate impact, need, and proof of work. Applications for the scholarship are currently open and will be accepted until mid-August. A board of directors will evaluate the projects and select the most deserving beneficiaries.

Geyser Grants differ from typical Bitcoin grants, which focus primarily on core developers. The organization aims to recognize and reward all Bitcoin creators for their contributions. Geyser Grants has already been making a huge impact, contributing 2.2 BTC to over 100 projects centered around Bitcoin education, creative endeavors, and community building.

Grants serve multiple purposes, including raising awareness of Bitcoin, encouraging contributions to the Bitcoin ecosystem, recognizing important work in the space, empowering creators globally, and promoting the growth of the Bitcoin creator ecosystem.
