IAI deploys port protection system in Asian country

Israeli aviation regulations It has completed the deployment of the ELI 3320 Port Guard system to protect critical coastal and marine infrastructure at an Asian port, sources close to the deal told Globes. Port Guard tracks what is happening around the port in all weather conditions and provides local authorities with the required information for any immediate response required.

Port Guard's open architecture allows IAI's sensors, systems and platforms to be installed alongside solutions developed by other companies. In this way the system can be adapted to all seaports in the world in terms of geographical conditions and threats.

Port Guard is operated by sensors deployed on the ground, air and underwater, all of which feed information to the command and control system. The main advantage of the system is not only that it streams all the data but also analyzes it for intelligence purposes through a system designed by IAI's ELTA unit.

IAI did not reveal the name of the Asian country that uses the system, but the company's financial numbers show how important the Asian market is to the Israeli company. In 2023, 36.2% of revenue was generated from Asia, 28.8% from Israel, 18% from North America, 12.4% from Europe, and the remainder from Latin America, Africa and Australia.

Between 2019 and 2023, the largest customers for all Israeli defense exports were India (37%), the Philippines (12%), and the United States (8.7%).

“We are proud to have once again been selected as a key supplier for the critical mission of port protection,” said Israel Luba, acting president of IAI ELTA. “I am confident that Port Guard with its flexible architecture will continue to deliver maximum performance and value in the years to come.”
