The HELA Systems facility will specialize in the maintenance of radar systems.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is expanding its presence in India. This week, it opened its HELA facility in Hyderabad. The facility will employ 45 expert specialists and 80 field engineers, and will specialize in radar system repair, including power systems, cooling systems, IT integration, and radar testing and calibration.
IAI acquired India’s HELA Systems Private Limited in 2023. “With this launch, we demonstrate our commitment to supporting India’s strategic needs with world-class radar solutions, empowering local professionals and fostering innovation,” said HELA Systems CEO Yaniv Mizrahi.

After many years of cooperation, IAI has in recent months focused on adapting to the ‘Make in India’ requirements set by the Indian government. One manifestation of this is the establishment of its subsidiary Aerospace Services India (ASI) eight months ago.
The company was set up in collaboration with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) of the Indian Ministry of Defence. ASI employs 50 people, 97% of whom are Indian nationals. Headquartered in New Delhi, it is the sole authorized OEM technical representative for the MRSAM (Medium Range Surface to Air Missile) system jointly developed by IAI and DRDO for the Indian Armed Forces.
