Twitter CEO Elon Musk has found a successor for himself, Bitcoinist reported yesterday — but what about her love of Dogecoin? The billionaire wrote in a tweet that a successor has been found and will assume his role as CEO of X / Twitter in about six weeks. Musk did not mention any name at first.
In addition, Musk announced his desire to work as a technical director, that is, as the technical chief of Twitter in the future. This will include overseeing products, software and sysops systems.
Linda Iaccarino is likely to be the new CEO of Twitter
It didn’t take long for the rumor mill to kick in and come up with the name of the supposed new CEO of Twitter. According to reports, that will be Linda Iaccarino, the current head of advertising at NBCUniversal’s media group.
It will likely be tasked with getting Twitter’s ad business up and running again, which has been racking up losses in recent months. Musk had bought Twitter in October for $44 billion, fired senior management and taken matters into his own hands.
Because of freedom of expression, which Musk places at the top of his list, advertising revenue has plummeted, and with it Twitter’s central source of income. Many advertisers have opposed Musk’s approach to free speech, citing the negative environment of their products as a reason for their backtracking.
Tech journalist Kara Swisher reported shortly after Musk’s tweet that advertising guru Iaccarino was the most likely candidate for CEO of Twitter. A little later, The Wall Street Journal mentioned The CEO was in talks to get the job.
Yaccarino is currently responsible for the global advertising business for NBC Universal. As the head of ad sales at NBCU, she was instrumental in launching ad-supported streaming service Peacock. Previously, Yaccarino spent 19 years at Turner Entertainment and has been credited with leading network ad sales into the digital future.
Most recently, she struck a deal with Twitter for NBC Universal to get footage from the 2024 Paris Olympics. Citing Jacarino’s inner circle, Hollywood’s Variety wrote that she has long expressed admiration for Musk. In mid-April, she interviewed Musk at an ad convention in Miami and praised his work ethic.
Is Yaccarino a fan of Dogecoin?
Yesterday’s news caused a stir in the Dogecoin community. The big question is whether Twitter’s new CEO will support Dogecoin (DOGE) as much as Elon Musk himself.
I just hope Twitter’s new CEO loves dogecoin 🤞

It is also questionable what influence Musk will retain and whether he will be able to pay by introducing Dogecoin as a means of payment, for example. At least the announcement that he will remain CTO bodes well for the DOGE community.
However, Yaccarino’s Twitter profile account It also provides reason for hope. While she hasn’t had any points of contact with cryptocurrency or Dogecoin (publicly), her account does display some surprising revelations.
The list of accounts (1161 total) that you follow on Twitter include the Tesla account and the official Twitter account, as well as Dogecoin, Billy Markus (inventor of DOGE), several Dogecoin community accounts, Sir Doge of the Coin, and DogeDesigner. Another surprise: Yaccarino also follows the official Shiba Inu Twitter account.
