Oil prices rebounded after an NBC report citing US officials saying Israel is considering striking energy facilities in Iran. An earlier Jerusalem Post report said they were only looking at military targets.
The NBC report says:
US officials said they did not believe Israel had made a final decision on the details of its response, but said it was working to narrow down its options and finalize them through additional meetings yesterday and today. The officials said options still under consideration are to target Iranian military and intelligence infrastructure, air defenses and energy facilities.
An Israeli Cabinet meeting will be held later today, and the Israeli military spokesman is scheduled to issue a statement in just over 20 minutes.
