Investing.com – Israeli stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the banking and services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the index fell by 0.32%.
The best performers in the session were: Ormat Technologies (TASE:), which rose 2.23% or 610.00 points to trade at 28,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:) added 1.57% or 69.00 points to close at 4,455.00 and Elbit Systems Energy Technology Inc (TASE:) stock rose 0.85%, or 620.00 points, to 73,520.00 in late trading.
The worst performance in the session was Shabbir Engineering Industries Company (TASE:), which fell 2.21% or 46.00 points to trade at 2,032.00 at the close. Azrael Group General Electric Co., Ltd. (TASE:) stock fell 1.63%, or 420.00 points, to close at 25,360.00. Electra Technology Corp. Ltd. (TASE:) stock fell 1.54%, or 2,140.00 points, to 137,170.00.
The number of falling stocks exceeded those of advancing ones in trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 235 to 196, while 108 remained unchanged.
Crude oil futures for November delivery rose 0.39%, or $0.27, to trade at $67.75 a barrel. In other trading, Brent crude futures for November delivery fell 0.50%, or $0.36, to $71.61 a barrel, while gold futures for December delivery rose 0.99%, or $25.60, to trade at $2,606.20 an ounce.
The USD/ILS pair fell 0.27% to 3.71, while the EUR/ILS pair fell 0.24% to 4.11.
The US dollar index fell 0.23% to 100.79.
