Investing.com – Israeli stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Egypt and Gaza sectors led stocks lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the index was down 0.40%.

It was the best performance of the session on energix (TASE:), which rose 4.03%, or 47.00 points, and reached 1,212.00 at the close. while, Ormat Technologies (TASE:) added 2.34%, or 710.00 points, to close at 31,110.00 and Chikun and Pinoy (TASE: up 2.24%, or 20.10 points, at 919.00 at the close of trade.

As for the worst performer at the end of the day’s trading, NICE Ltd (TASE:) closed down by 3.11%, or 2,130.00 points, and traded at 66,310.00 at the close. Bezeq Israel Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:) declined 2.51%, or 13.00 points, to 505.00, and Mizrahi-Tefahot (TASE:) fell 2.15%, or 270.00 points, to 12,280.00.

The number of gainers outnumbered the decliners on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 225 against 221 and 41 remained unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery fell 1.10%, or $0.78, to $70.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for July delivery fell 1.08%, or 0.81%, to $74.17 a barrel, while gold futures contract for June fell 0.23%, or $4.60 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS rose 0.84% ​​to 3.67, while EUR/ILS rose 0.24% to 3.99.

US Dollar Index futures rose 0.65%, to 102.53.
