Investing.com – Israeli stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the banking and services sectors led shares lower.
At the close of trading in Tel Aviv, the index fell by 0.88%.
The best performers in the session were: Energix (TASE:), which rose 0.85% or 11.00 points to trade at 1,309.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) added 0.30% or 80.00 points to close at 27,090.00, while Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) rose 0.25% or 40.00 points to close at 15,980.00 at the close.
Harrell (TASE:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 6.50% or 242.00 points to trade at 3,480.00 at the close. Kamtech NICE Ltd (TASE:) fell 3.96% or 1,360.00 points to close at 32,950.00 and NICE Ltd (TASE:) fell 2.99% or 1,940.00 points to close at 62,840.00.
The number of falling stocks exceeded those of advancing ones in trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 250 to 183, while 105 remained unchanged.
Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) shares rose to a new 52-week high, up 0.25% or 40.00 to $15,980.00.
October crude oil futures fell 2.98%, or $2.26, to $73.65 a barrel. In other trading, November Brent crude futures fell 2.40%, or $1.89, to $76.93 a barrel, while December gold futures fell 0.95%, or $24.30, to trade at $2,536.00 an ounce.
The USD/ILS pair fell 0.82% to 3.62, while the EUR/ILS pair fell 0.99% to 4.00.
US dollar index futures rose 0.35% to 101.62.
