Investing.com – Japanese stocks rose after the close on Monday, as gains in sector and by sector led stocks higher.
At the close in Tokyo, it was up 0.42%.
It was the best performance of the session on Nippon Usain K (TYO :), which rose 3.54% or 112.00 points and traded at 3,278.00 at the close. while, Keisei Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (TYO:) added 3.09%, or 135.00 points, to close at 4,500.00 and Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd. (TYO: up 2.53%, or 85.00 points, at 3,450.00 in late trade.
It was the worst performance of the session Konica Minolta, Inc. (TYO :), which fell 2.35%, or 13.00 points, and traded at 541.00 at the close. Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. (TYO: decreased by 1.88%, or 12.00 points, at 625.00, and SoftBank Group Corp. (TYO: decreased by 1.33%, or 69.00 points, at 5,100.00.
Advance shares outnumbered decliners on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2,519 to 1,029, and 268 closed unchanged.
Shares in Keisei Electric Railway Co., Ltd. rose. (TYO:) to a 3-year high; Earn 3.09%, or 135.00 to 4,500.00.

Crude oil for May delivery fell 0.31%, or 0.25%, to $80.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for June delivery fell 0.34%, or 0.29, to $84.83 a barrel, while gold futures for June fell 0.76%, or $15.40 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY rose 0.09% to 132.26, while EUR/JPY rose 0.19% to 144.25.
US Dollar Index futures rose 0.03%, to 101.76.
