Today’s modern Bitcoin exchanges have greatly improved access to Bitcoin ownership in 2024. Gone are the days of spammy peer-to-peer (P2P) trading forums and questionably secure early exchanges like Mt Gox. Instead, a large group of Bitcoin on-ramps focused on superior security and user experience (UX) made buying your first Bitcoin easy. Many of these services have embarked on education-focused initiatives to encourage greater adoption during Bitcoin’s recent bear market. In November 2023 Swan Fired Welcome to Bitcoina free one-hour introductory course on Bitcoin. In December 2023, Cash App Released breada free, limited-edition magazine that uses design to tell stories and educate readers about Bitcoin in an engaging and accessible way.
What these initiatives show is that Bitcoin adoption is approaching a tipping point. These two major Bitcoin exchanges, along with the industry as a whole, are discovering that easy access to a quick buy button does not guarantee a purchase. There are still many barriers to entry for cryptocurrencies, which provide significant limitations to the understanding of Bitcoin, thus stifling Bitcoin growth and adoption. As we approach a steeper slope in Bitcoin Bell curveIntroducing beginners into exchange applications without adequate education and training is no longer a strategy for success.
What was once a much simpler task of energizing early adopters and crypto professionals around Bitcoin’s clear value proposition, is evolving into a much more complex and complex process of orange-coating the first majority of future Bitcoin holders. Hopefully this will then lead to widespread adoption of Bitcoin as the community collectively chooses to store their time and energy in the best money ever created. For this hyper-conversion of Bitcoin to happen, more people need to understand the intricacies of Bitcoin. This is easier said than done because Bitcoin still faces a learning problem:
- that Economist Intelligence Unit study It was reported that 51% of people said lack of knowledge is the main barrier to Bitcoin ownership.
- A YouGov poll I found that 98% of beginners do not understand basic Bitcoin concepts.
- A National survey From the Yale Center it was discovered that 69% of young people find learning boring.
This research demonstrates the struggle to qualify and educate the next generation of Bitcoin users, particularly the younger generations who have shown… He has a limited attention span of 8 seconds. For inspiration to help solve this problem, we can take a look at one of the most popular mobile games of all time… Pokemon Go.
Pokémon GO has been and continues to be a global phenomenon. This beloved app has caught the attention of Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X alike, boasting record-breaking engagement statistics:
- In 2016, the game peaked at 232 million active players.
- Pokémon GO has made huge profits $6 billion in revenue.
- In 2024, 24% of people between the ages of 18 and 34 in the US play Pokémon GO, while 49% of people between the ages of 35 and 54 They are playing.
