Kamala Harris Proves She's the Worst Candidate for Bitcoin Ownership and Adoption

Kamala Harris Announce Today, it “supports the regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and other digital assets so that Black men who invest in and own these assets are protected.”

No, this isn’t clickbait: Harris’ first specific crypto policy is here, and it’s race-based.

As a Bitcoin user, I have to say this is very wrong, and shows that Harris in no way understands Bitcoin, a network where everyone already has equal access regardless of race, color or creed.

Harris and Democrats have for years described themselves as “anti-racist,” while calling their opponents and anyone who challenges them racists. Here, Kamala extends this policy to cryptocurrencies, playing favoritism with a particular demographic.

Let’s just imagine that Trump came out with an agenda stating that he would work on policy that would benefit white people in the cryptocurrency industry. The media will be in an uproar about this. But, unlike Harris, Trump does not favor one race of people over any other. He sets pro-Bitcoin policies that work for all Americans.

On this basis alone, Trump’s approach is undoubtedly much better for Bitcoin than the one proposed by Harris: he actually provides specific details about exactly what he would do to foster innovation in the industry if elected, and he explains how these policies benefit everyone.

This new Harris rhetoric appears to be little more than appeasing votes for one group of people, while potentially losing the votes of others she has excluded. Any voter who tells himself otherwise is lying to himself.

Let’s ask ourselves this, do we believe Harris’ policies will make it easier for Black Americans to access and own Bitcoin? Or do we think that managing it will make it more difficult? If more obstacles are put in front of black Bitcoin buyers, I personally can’t imagine anything worse.

Bitcoin is an open source protocol open to anyone in the world. It doesn’t matter what your race is – anyone can use it. This policy is a slap in the face to all American Bitcoin users, and Bitcoin voters should head to the polls in three weeks to ensure she is not elected president.
