MOTORS Acquires Cazoo Brand, Set to Launch Innovative Digital Marketplace

Used car search platform MOTORS has acquired the Cazoo brand, announcing plans to transform it into a mobile-focused digital marketplace.

This strategic move aims to leverage MOTORS’ extensive 15 years of experience to provide a new and innovative car buying experience.

In the coming weeks, MOTORS will unveil the all-new Cazoo app, followed by a revamped website with over 250,000 used car listings. The initiative aims to attract more car buyers and simplify the car search process, boosting customer engagement and satisfaction.

Barry Judge, CEO of MOTORS, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, saying: “Despite the challenges it faces as a company, Cazoo has undoubtedly become a household name with car buyers. We have the experience and inventory to immediately establish the new Cazoo site as a modern used car marketplace.” We will build on the excitement and engagement the Cazoo brand has already created with consumers to bring further sales inquiries to our merchant partners.

The judge highlighted the benefits for car dealers, noting that dealer partners on MOTORS MultiSite packages will automatically receive a free quote on the new Cazoo platform. This integration provides an exciting opportunity for merchants to leverage Cazoo’s established brand awareness and increase their traffic, enhancing their reach and potential sales.

Daniel Ozen, President of O3 Industries, echoed the judge’s sentiments, saying: “We know that today’s car buyers visit an average of 4.2 websites during their research journey. With just one invoice, dealers can advertise to millions of car buyers in the marketplace on MOTORS, eBay, Gumtree and now Cazoo, expanding their online presence and driving lead generation. This acquisition underscores our ambition to be a key partner to dealers, providing an opportunity for online car buyers.”

The MOTORS website will continue operations, providing car dealers with access to a wide audience through its network of sites, which includes partnerships with eBay and Gumtree. The investment in the Cazoo brand is set to strengthen MOTORS’ position in the market, providing a strong platform for both car buyers and dealers.

As MOTORS embarks on this exciting project, the car buying landscape is set to improve significantly, promising a seamless and user-friendly experience for consumers and a powerful tool for dealers to expand their market reach.
