Pinterest is strengthening its UK sales team with two new hires this summer. Caroline Orange-Northy has been appointed retail sales director, while Noreen Mohammed will take on the role of consumer packaged goods sales director.
Caroline Orange Northey joins Pinterest from Amazon Ads, where she spent nine years as part of the UK leadership team, overseeing vertical teams across fashion, consumer electronics, sports, home and wellbeing. With over 20 years’ experience in media, including roles in radio, outdoor, cinema, TV broadcast, games, print, digital, live sports, sports rights and marketing partnerships, Orange Northey brings a wealth of knowledge to Pinterest.
Expressing her excitement, Orange Northey said: “I am excited to join Pinterest during this crucial stage of the company’s growth. Pinterest has blown me away with its exceptional product offerings, providing a comprehensive customer journey from start to finish. Starting from where inspiration comes from, Pinterest guides users through the decision-making process, ultimately leading to sales. It’s like the happiest corner of the internet, and as a relentless optimist, I feel like this opportunity is a perfect fit for me. I am very much looking forward to getting involved and making a positive impact!”
Noreen Mohammed joins Pinterest from Meta, where she served as Head of CPG Marketing for EMEA. With 25 years of experience in major consumer goods and technology companies, including Johnson & Johnson and Unilever, Mohammed has extensive experience building and launching new revenue streams and internal capabilities.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join Pinterest, an online haven that truly aligns with my personal values of inclusion and representation,” said Mohammed. “I’m excited to leverage its unique power to connect CPG consumers with the products and brands they love, turning discovery into fun and inspiration into action.”
The two new hires will report to Pinterest’s UK managing director, Beth Horne, who joined the company from Spotify on June 24. Mohamed will start in August and follow to Orange-Northey in September.
