Pizza Hut is giving away 1 million free pizzas

Reading is essential, but it can also be fulfilling.

Pizza Hut has announced plans to give away 1 million free pizzas as part of National Book Month. Company book! The program will offer free personal pizza to anyone – children or adults. And this time, you don’t even have to read a book (but why give up that luxury?).

To get the free pie, you’ll need to pay either online or via the company’s app and the minimum purchase is $8. Use code BOOKIT40 to add your personal pizza to your order.

This marks 40 years of Pizza Hut being a supporter of National Book Month. Traditionally, children who reach a certain reading goal will receive a certificate for free pizza as part of the company’s Book It! program. This promotion is additionally.

The company estimates that since 1984, it has donated more than 1.5 billion pizzas to young readers (from kindergarten to sixth grade) through this program — and between 2013 and 2023, it has donated more than 56 million.

If personal pizza doesn’t satisfy you, the company is also bundling two large topping pizzas with breadsticks and is contributing a portion of the price of this kit to the Book It! program.

“I’m so proud of what Book It! has delivered for the past four decades,” Carl Loredo, Pizza Hut’s U.S. president, said in a press release. “It has inspired more than 70 million children to discover the magic of books, helping to build Lifelong love of reading. As we celebrate 40 years, we’re excited to invite readers of all ages to rediscover the joy of reading – one book (and pizza) at a time.”

The free pizza code takes effect immediately and is valid until the end of the month or until the chain donates 1 million pizzas.
