The Bike Park project is a celebration and advancement of the rich and wonderful history of mountain biking in Ross Land and the Kootenays beyond. This legacy began with the early days of building popular trails in Ross Land, spanning several decades. As a result, the extensive trail network has elevated the West Kootenays’ standing in the mountain biking industry, producing countless professional athletes and legendary trails. The development of the Bike Park at RED Mountain over the next few years will build on this foundation while continuing to look to the future.

About Red Mountain Resort: RED Mountain Resort is a fiercely independent resort in Rossland, British Columbia, a place of stark contrasts. We’re the oldest resort in Western Canada but also home to one of the most significant single expansions of the 21st century. We’re proud to be Canadian but located just minutes from the U.S. border in the snowy Kootenay Mountains. Guests love our easygoing vibe as much as they love our massive terrain—3,850 acres!—which ranks us in the top ten in size in North America. You can stay a short lift ride away in a clean, modern lodge, relax in a slopeside condo, ski in at Josie an Autograph Collection, spend the night at the back of the mountain in your own private cabin away from it all, or even take advantage of the accessible properties and make RED your home. We’re bad at math but proud of our numbers: nearly 3,000 feet of vertical drop; 300 inches of snowfall; pay-per-trip skiing; and 5 skiable peaks. We have iconic trees, fresh snow, great trails, access to the Ikon Pass, a brand new summer bike park, and we claim to be Canada’s #1 ski town for two years in a row. Once under the radar, now we’re the next big thing. www.redresort.com
