That’s the deal at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, NJ starting in early June. The Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Cal. It is expected to open its new location later this summer.
Both locations will offer a Quick 6 mini-market sponsored by Amazon-Coca Cola that takes advantage of Amazon’s emerging Just Walk Out cashless store technology without having to wait for checkout at the register. Coca-Cola drinks and snacks will be widely spread in the theme park outlets.
Cited as the “first and only” payment-free automated shopping experience within a theme park, both Quick 6 stores use frictionless commerce technology to deliver a satisfying shopping experience to park guests, allowing them to save time and leave the store without having to wait at the store. queue to pay Six Flags reported in a new media release. “Visitors can peruse the store, put items into their virtual cart, and simply leave when they’re done, with their selections automatically charged to the payment method used to enter the store.”
Both stores are also expected to expand into food and beverage options, offering wet weather gear, sunblock, gift cars, and other summer-themed retail items.
“The Checkout-Free stores powered by Just Walk Out technology provide fast, seamless, and contactless transactions, which we think will resonate well in this setting,” said Stephanie Borges, Six Flags Vice President.
Amazon’s payment-free shopping experience is already offered at Amazon Go outlets, Amazon Fresh stores, and select Whole Foods locations.
