Investing.com – Saudi Arabian stocks were higher after Sunday’s close, as gains in the banking and finance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the general market index rose by 0.36%.
The best performance in the session was that of Saudi Arabia. Amiantit Saudi Automotive Services Co. (TADAWUL:) rose 9.04%, or 2.65 points, to trade at 31.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Automotive Services Co. (TADAWUL:) rose 7.57%, or 5.50 points, to close at 78.20, and Methanol Chemicals Co. (TADAWUL:) rose 7.36%, or 1.14 points, to trade at 16.62 at the close.
The worst performance in the session was Redan Company (TADAWUL:), which fell 3.30% or 0.95 points to trade at 27.80 at the close. Al Rajhi REIT Fund Bupa Arabia Cooperative Insurance Company (Tadawul) fell by 2.47% or 0.21 points to close at 8.29, and Bupa Arabia Cooperative Insurance Company (Tadawul) fell by 2.32% or 5.40 points to close at 227.00.
The number of advancing stocks exceeded declining ones in trading on the Saudi Stock Exchange by 188 compared to 105, while 22 stocks remained unchanged.
Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (TADAWUL:) shares rose to a 52-week high, up 9.04% or 2.65 points to 31.95 points.
October crude oil futures fell 2.98%, or $2.26, to $73.65 a barrel. In other trading, November Brent crude futures fell 2.40%, or $1.89, to $76.93 a barrel, while December gold futures fell 0.95%, or $24.30, to trade at $2,536.00 an ounce.
The EUR/SAR pair fell 0.24% to 4.15, while the USD/SAR pair remained unchanged by 0.00% to 3.75.
US dollar index futures rose 0.35% to 101.62.
