Saudi Arabia stocks lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.18% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after Monday’s close, as losses in the banking and finance sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the general market index lost 0.18%.

The session’s top performer was Saudi Cables Co. (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.87% or 6.80 points to trade at 75.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Automotive Services Co. (TADAWUL:) added 7.16% or 5.60 points to close at 83.80, and Nama Chemicals Co. (TADAWUL:) rose 6.39% or 1.75 points to close at 29.15 at the close.

Jabal Omar Development Co. (Tadawul:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 3.98% or 1.05 points to trade at 25.35 at the close. Qassim Cement Co. (Tadawul:) fell 3.13% or 1.70 points to close at 52.70, and Qassim Cement Co. (Tadawul:) fell 3.13% or 1.70 points to close at 52.70. Baazim Trading Company Tadawul stock fell by 2.76% or 0.19 points to close at 6.69.

The number of falling stocks exceeded those that rose in trading on the Saudi Stock Exchange by 143 compared to 136, while 33 stocks remained unchanged.

October crude oil futures fell 0.14%, or $0.10, to $73.45 a barrel. In other trading, November Brent crude futures fell 0.13%, or $0.10, to $76.83 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.28%, or $7.10, to trade at $2,534.70 an ounce.

The EUR/SAR pair was flat, down 0.11% at 4.15, while the USD/SAR pair was flat, down 0.01% at 3.75.

The US dollar index fell 0.04% to 101.59.
