MGM's MGM (amzn) studios control the Falls of James Bond, where the company is looking to deepen its site in broadcasting wars, The company announced on Thursday.
The studio will form a joint project to acquire intellectual property rights from producers Barbara Brocoli and her husband Michael Wilson. The couple, who have been carrying creative control for a long time, will remain the invalidity owners, alongside Amazon. The financial conditions of the deal have not been revealed.
“With my career, which spanned nearly 60 years, I return to the production of James Bond films to focus on artistic and charitable projects,” Wilson said in a statement. “Therefore, I agreed with Barbara, it's time for our reliable, Amazon MGM Studios, to lead James Bond in the future.”
Amazon Hollywood Studio MGM Holdings in 2022 bought $ 8.45 billion, including debt, as she worked to enhance her broadcast service to compete better with the likes of Netflix (NFLX) and Disney (DIS).

The company has long been at odds with broccoli and Wilson, who had the ability to determine when James Bond films would enter production, as well as the options for recitation and the general trend of stories.
