Hossam El-Kurdy has resigned as Executive Vice President of SquaredFinancial Group after two years and five months in the role to focus on his own venture. The multi-regulatory brokerage firm announced the departure of its CEO in a statement.
With the resignation, El-Kurdi also stepped down as CEO of SquaredFinancial EU, a role in Cyprus he had held since November 2019, according to his LinkedIn profile. However, the top CEO will remain with the brokerage as an advisor and collaborator, SquaredFinancial said.

In the statement, SquaredFinancial indicated that founder Philip Ghanem, who has served as chairman of the brokerage group since April 2020, has taken over the management of the company.

Speaking upon his departure, Al-Kurdi indicated that he was pursuing his dream and adventure. He thanked Ghanem for the opportunity to “do what I love most”.
