Stock indices shift. Dow higher. NASDAQ lower

Money has shifted into the US stock market. Earlier, the Dow was low, the Nasdaq was high, and the S&P was in the middle. Currently, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up, the S&P is almost unchanged and the Nasdaq has turned into negative territory.

The Nasdaq closed higher for seven straight days, and each of those days marked record closing highs. The Standard & Poor's Index closed at a record high on Friday

A snapshot of the market currently showing:

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average is +160 points or 0.42% at 38,994.60.
  • The S&P rose 4.7 points, or 0.08%, to 5,491.50.
  • The Nasdaq fell 43.0-0.24% to 17,818.40.

Nvidia shares were trading at a high of $140.76. It is currently trading at $136.61. This is still above $1 today but is far from the highs.

Apple shares are trading down $2.40, or -1.13%, at $211.85.

Microsoft is trading down -$4.20, or -0.94%, from $442.15

These three stocks compete for the top three most capitalized companies.
