Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 1.68% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the industrials and services sectors led shares higher.

At the end of trading in Taiwan, the index rose by 1.68%.

The session’s top performer was Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Headway Advanced Materials (TW:) added 10.00% or 2.30 points to close at 25.30 and reduce ink Co Ltd (TW:) stock rose 9.98% or 2.20 points to 24.25 at the close.

The worst performance in the session was Huang Xiang Construction Corp (TW:) stock fell 10.00% or 6.50 points to trade at 58.50 at the close. Farglory Land Development Co Ltd (TW:) fell 10.00% or 7.90 points to close at 71.10 and Da-Li Development Co Ltd (TW:) fell 9.98% or 6.00 points to close at 54.10.

Declining stocks outperformed advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by a ratio of 0 to 0.

Arima Communications Corp (TW:) shares rose to a three-year high, gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Headway Advanced Materials Inc (TW:) shares rose to a 52-week high, gaining 10.00% or 2.30 to 25.30. Sunko Ink Co Ltd (TW:) shares rose to a 52-week high, gaining 9.98% or 2.20 to 24.25.

Crude oil futures for November delivery rose 0.79%, or $0.56, to $71.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude futures for December delivery rose 0.75%, or $0.55, to $74.24 a barrel, while gold futures for December delivery rose 0.27%, or $7.15, to trade at $2,653.35 an ounce.

The USD/TWD pair rose 0.17% to 32.04, while the TWD/CNY pair remained unchanged by 0.23% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures rose 0.06% to 100.48.
