(Reuters) – The automaker’s website on Sunday showed that Tesla’s Model S and X (NASDAQ:) are not available to order in some Asia-Pacific countries, including Australia, Thailand, Singapore and New Zealand.
Other Tesla Inc models, such as the Model 3 and Model Y, were also available in these countries, according to the website.
It was not immediately clear why these models were not available. Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Elon Musk’s electric car maker posted record deliveries in the January-March quarter, but deliveries of the pricier Model X and Model S cars fell 38%.
Tesla has slashed the prices of some of its models this year across markets to eradicate demand as competition heats up among electric vehicle makers around the world.
Investors were watching Musk’s gamble that lower prices would spur sales, though they worried about eroding profit margins.
