The MIT Bitcoin Club – an emotional alliance for students, graduates, researchers and community members – holds the twelfth annual Mit Bitcoin exhibition (5-6 April 2025), a historical event that explores how to enable Bitcoin and Freed Worldwide techniques. With only 5 days survival, this student's initiative continues to constantly imitate a decade of the academic circles, activity and artistic innovation.
Why this matters
Bitcoin project for the year 2014 was born from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology-which distributed bitcoin to university students to study the adoption-the exhibition developed into a decisive forum for dialogue that focuses on sovereignty. The freedom technology agenda for this year focuses on physical liberation through technology.
Speakers, such as Zimbwean Evan Mawarire (leader of the movement) and the creator of the Lightning Tadge Dryja network, will dissect the role of bitcoin in resisting authoritarian control and enabling escape from the real world of persecution. This is not a matter of encryption economics, nor for coins. This is about life, freedom and bitcoin.
What do you expect
The first day: diving in the basics of Freedom Tech with the keyword for Mawarire “You Freedom Tech Matters” and Dryja analysis of Bitcoin flexibility against nation -states. The companies ’adoption occupies the lead center with MARATHON Digital Paul Giordano and Bitcoin Core, such as Gloria Zhao. Get more technology in the afternoon with topics such as consent cleaning, poisoning attacks, control resistance, bitcoin tubes, etc.
The second day: The shift to the global influence with Mauricio Bartolomeo (Bitcoin's nomination) and paintings that include activists from Venezuela, Russia and Togo. Neha Narlala's deep -reserve expansion and Steven Roose's SoftFORK proposals. Other topics include the future of freedom technology, quantum resistance, soft fork for the era, TOR project, etc.
Beyond theory: Hackathon Freedom
This event extends the amount of $ 10,000, and it extends to a parallel (4-6 April), and it challenges developers to build privacy tools, control control, and financial sovereignty 14.
