Conflux And World Mobile Join Forces To Expand Blockchain-based Mobile Access

The partnership follows the successful launch of the Conflux BSIM card earlier this year and will see the two companies initially working together in four areas:

1) Public bridges

The World Mobile Token (WMT) of the Cardano blockchain will be linked to the Conflux blockchain ecosystem and will be the first bridge outside the Cardano ecosystem to a native mobile network token.

2) Technology integration

World Mobile and Conflux will collaborate on the technical integration of the Conflux Network into World Mobile’s side chain, AyA, providing EarthNode and financial settlement capabilities for the Conflux Network.

3) Expansion of Asian and African markets

Conflux and World Mobile have strong presences in the Asian and African markets, respectively. The two companies will work together to leverage these strengths to increase connectivity, increase user acquisition and increase market penetration in key markets. Conflux’s CFX now ranks third most Popular cryptocurrencies in Nigeria. This is especially important as Nigeria holds approximately 67% of the interest in cryptocurrency in Africa. World Mobile recently wound up Successful field tests of its dynamic, hybrid network in Nigeria, following the successful commercial launch in Zanzibar earlier this year.

4) Development of a Blockchain-based SIM card

World Mobile and Conflux will collaborate on how best to use Conflux’s blockchain-based SIM card mobile network to increase access to digital connectivity worldwide.
