The Ministry of Defense published a public auction to sell 19 apartments at an estimated value of 28-30 million shekels.

The Ministry of Defense published a public auction for the sale of 19 apartments across Israel that were used to meet the needs of the Israeli army and security forces. The move is part of an overall simplification of the Department of Defense’s housing stock management. Fourteen of the apartments for sale are located in Mitzpe Ramon, two in Eilat and one in Arad in addition to two homes in Netanya and Ramat Hasharon. The total value of the homes is estimated at 28-30 million shekels. The house in Ramat Hasharon alone is worth at least NIS 6.7 million, but some appraisers believe it could fetch much more.

The properties for sale are old and in poor condition, and it has been decided to sell them and use the money to buy houses for the army officers in the campervan who are entitled to a house from the Ministry of Defense Rehabilitation Unit.
