The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose about 220 points, or 0.63%, at 35447. Today’s gain will be the 11th consecutive update for the 30 industrial stocks. The biggest gainer today is Chevron with a gain of 2.60%. Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan are both up more than 2% on the day.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is now averaging about 4.1% from its all-time high in January 2022. The highest level since April 21, 2022 is 35,492.22. Today’s high price reached 35463.97. A move above that flight would target the next swing from Feb 9, 2022 at 35,824.28.
Over the course of 11 days starting on July 10, the price has moved from the low of 33705.68. The index rose by 5.19% during that period.
Meanwhile, the S&P Index rose 24 points, or 0.53%, at 4,560.64 today. The Nasdaq was up 45.23 points, or 0.32%, at 14,078.
