Henry Birch, the former head of gaming operator The Rank Group (OTCPK:RANKF), is among the top contenders to become CEO of Entain Plc (OTCPK:GMVHF), the gaming company that owns the gambling brand Ladbrokes, Sky News reported Saturday.
Birch, who directed Online retailer Fairy Group is among a small number of candidates vying to succeed Jette Nygaard-Andersen, who resigned from her position in December.
Nygaard-Andersen's departure came after Entain (OTCPK:GMVHF) agreed to pay £585 million to settle a bribery investigation and led to the appointment of non-executive director Stella David as interim CEO.
